Phil Donoghue Celebrancy Services

Funeral Celebrancy

Why do you need a Funeral Celebrant?

The majority of people in the U.K. no longer regularly attend church and don't feel comfortable with a member of the clergy, who they don't know, conducting their loved one's funeral service.  However, most people do believe in something; whether that's the spirit, heaven, reincarnation or some kind of life after death.

Whatever you or your loved ones believe, everyone wants to say goodbye in their own style and to celebrate the life of the departed.

A Funeral Celebrant allows them to do this in a personal and special way.

As an Independent Celebrant, Phil will visit you before the funeral and help you to design and plan exactly the Funeral Service you want.  He will help you to select and include any music, poems or readings that you would like.  You can even include Hymns and Bible Readings if you wish, or include elements of any religions or even conduct mixed faith ceremonies.

After talking to you, Phil will write the service, including a Eulogy, based on what you've told him.  He will deliver this Eulogy at the Funeral or alternatively he can advise members of the family who may wish to give the Eulogy or simply share some treasured memories.

On the day, Phil will liaise with your chosen Funeral Directors to make sure everything runs smoothly.  He will conduct the whole Funeral Service and your family and friends will experience  a unique and individual tribute to your departed loved one.
